Replace the battery.
IPhone 5 is outdated. Get iPhone X
Try changing the charger wire or box. One of them might be broken. If it still doesn't work then try getting a new charger. If that doesn't work then you should go to the apple store and check out your iphone 5.
If the cord will not go all the way into the socket, or wiggles, turn off your phone and with a plastic or wood toothpick, get our all the dust and lint that have felted in there. Check or change your cable and charger.
