My iPhone 5 won't delete messages?
I have 4.6 gb of "saved text messages" on my iPhone 5. Obviously I don't want that, but whenever I delete my texts my messages app freezes and I have to do a soft reset to turn it back on. Wiping my phone and starting completely over is NOT an option, and restoring my phone from my computer/iCloud keeps those texts.
Has anybody had this problem? I've dealt with it for over a year.
I can't delete certain texts but you can delete the entire conversation by sliding the message menu to the left there you will get a delete sign
- Why won't my iPhone and iPod delete messages? So I got a new iPhone and I transferred everything from my iPod to my iPhone but the messages on my phone and iPod won't erase. I have deleted everything on the iPod except the messages. How can I delete the messages on both the phone and iPod?
- Why do iPhone messages come up as picture messages on other phones? When my friend sends me texts, she has an iphone, they come up as picture messages and i can't revieve them on my phone because my plan doesn't cover picture messages. Can she change the settings so it won't come up as a picture?
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- Read messages on my iPhone sometimes show up as unread messages on my Mac? - 1 I'm talking about email messages. I have my accounts hooked up to iCloud, so if I read an email on my iPhone or Mac, it should count it as read on the other device. It has worked, but sometimes it doesn't. What can/should I do?
