My iPhone 6 with water damage needs to be sent to Asurion but it is jailbroken?

I dropped it in the river today, and it is jailbroken. I went to Verizon and they said that the new iPhone will be delivered tomorrow from Asurion, but I need to send the broken iPhone to Asurion where they might be able to fix it and sell it.
The issue is that they don't cover jailbroken devices, so if I send it back, and they fix it and see that it is jailbroken, I will be screwed with a $500 fine (at least).
So can I do to make sure they can't fix it? Could I make it unfixable by submerging it in water for a long time?

  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
  • Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
  • If i were to turn in my iPhone 5S to Asurion because of a problem will i get another 5S or a 6? My phone is very glitchy, and does things on its on (open apps, click links etc.) I'm just wondering if i will receive another 5S
  • I put my iPhone in rice after water damage but it's still overheating? My iPhone 4 was only submerged in the water for a matter of seconds, but I dried it up as much as I could and then took it home and put it in a bag of dry rice for 3 days. I then turned it on and put it on charge, but it'll only charge up to 11% before overheating. If I put the phone back in the bag of rice for another couple of days do you think this issue will be solved?
