My iPhone battery drains and heats up?

I've had my iphone 5 for about 2 months and its been all fine until yesterday. Yesterday I took my phone off charge at 8:35AM as I was leaving for college my phone was on 100%.By 11:00AM it was on 3% but i don't know how this could happen as I didn't use my phone from 8:35 until 11:00 because I was in lectures!
Then last night it took about an hour to charge from 0% to 10% and today I took my phone off charge at 9:10AM and it was on 100% I left it alone to see if my battery would drain and then by 10:50AM my phone was on 62% and I hadn't used it at all! Any one know what's wrong with it and how I can fix it? I have reset all settings but nothings really happened. I also cancel all my apps too

In short, bin it and get an andriod

to be serious it sounds like an overly charged batery, let it completly drain and charge it up fully

Maybe you left it on and if you did not shut it down it will drain

  • New unlocked iphone 5s (sprint original carrier) battery drains fast and takes longer to charge? It's a brand new phone from EBAY. Everything looks good except battery. it took about 2.5 hours to full charge, overnight it goes RED no SIM inserted and no usage just idle entire night, i upgraded IOS to 12.x still same issue. Please advice i like to retain this phone if battery issue is resolved otherwise return it.
  • My new iPhone 6 heats up when I use it? I got an iPhone 6 last week and I felt that the back of the phone gets hot when I use the phone. I thought it was a faulty one so I exchanged it for a new one, and the same problem happens: It heats up! Especially when I use Mobile data (3G/4G). I have turned of location, Bluetooth etc but it still gets hot, even with a little usage
  • MY IPHONE TURNS ON IN MY LOCKER AND DRAINS Battery Ok so on the bus ride to school i listen to music on my iphone 4. When i get to school i turn off my iphone, i always double check! I put it in my locker than go to class. After school i come back and my iphone is at freaking 4% and its on! I don't know what is going on!
  • My iPhone over heats when it's charging, should I do something about it? My iPhone has been overheating when ever I charged it or if I have been using it for a while and I'm not sure if I should do anything or not.
