My iphone battery life decreases so fast?

I have an iPhone 4s. Recently its battery life started decreasing so fast. And sometimes when i don't even use it. I'm sick of it. What should i do?

The same happens to me. Except it stays pretty much at the same battery percentage if I don't use it. Do you have insurance on it? Maybe you should go to the store you got it from and see if they'll fix it

You could try closing some apps by double tapping the home button, then tapping and holding an icon and pressing the red minus button. This will close any apps that you aren't using (it won't delete them).It will also lower the memory usage therefore increasing the battery life. Also, when you are not using your iPhone you can turn it off by holding the power button until it says 'slide to power off'. The iPhone will still use battery if its locked but not if its powered off.

Well obviously if you are constantly texting for an hour the battery will go down, thats true with anything. If its dropping when you aren't using it, then you have to have something wrong as my iphone battery doesn't drop at all when not using it.

- Double Tap the home button and long press on the apps that appear until they start to wiggle, then press the red X that appears to close those apps

Turn off Auto Brightness
- Go to Settings
- Go to Brightness
- Turn off

Reduce Screen Brightness
- Go to Settings
- Go to Brightness
- Drag down to where you can see it comfortably (about ¼ of the way is a great starting point; your eyes will adjust to it as well)

Turn off BluTooth
- Go to Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Blutooth
- Turn off

Turn off Wi-Fi (When not near a Wi-Fi Area)
- Go to Settings
- Go to Wi-Fi
- Turn off

Turn off Location Services
-Go to Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Location Services
- Turn off

Turn off Push Email
- Go to Settings
- Go to Contacts, Calendar & Email
- Go to Fetch New Data
- Turn Push Off

Fetch Less Often
- Go to Settings
- Go to Contacts, Calendar & Email
Go to Fetch New Data
- Go to either Hourly or Manually

* If your battery has started decreasing rapidly then you will need to get a new battery installed in it by taking it to an Apple Store and they'll replace it for $79 if it isn't under warranty anymore, if it is still under warranty they'll fix it for free*

Most smart phones go down quickly when it's in use.
