My IPhone broke and I need some advice?

I accidentally dropped my IPhone into the sink and immediately grabbed it out. The water was very shallow but enough to cover the phone. I hurried and put it into a bag of rice so will it still work after sitting in that for a day or two?

Also if I end up having to get a new phone and I transfer pictures to my new one will they (AT&T in my case) be able to see my pictures on their computer when transferring them? I have very personal pictures that I don't want others to see.

Thanks for answering I really appreciate it.

Added (1). How much would it cost to buy a new IPhone4 which is what I had if I have to buy a new one?

Just curious so I already know ahead of time.

IPhone should easily survive water and if taken our quickly enough.
What do you do?
Turn the phone off
Get rice
And leave in a warn area
Leave it for 2-4 days.

My friend dropped their iPhone 4 in the bath (which is worse than your as it deeper and hot water) but the phone survived the screen had water dropplets in but apart from that was okay and after a month fully recovered.

If your contract is up, then I would upgrade to a newer version by trading it in. They now take trade-ins and you can get a new contract, so it may be just like getting a cheap upgrade. Thats better then putting money into fixing an older version. They take trade ins even if its damaged.

  • Need some serious advice about my iphone 4s? I dropped my iphone 4s in the water a few days ago. I left my phone in rice like people told me to for two days, but it doesn't seem to work. My contract ends in november but they said i can change my phone on july 14. I have verizon btw. I have like three weeks left, but i have some very important stuff in my phone and i'm expecting some calls/texts. Will verizon fix my phone, but more importantly, can they fix my phone? Or is it dead already? any advice would be appreciated!
