There's NO sim card in the iPhone
Use a paperclip bend it open and push the tab in I phones never come with a removal tool
Supposing Craig buys second hand iPhones as EVERY one in the UK comes with a SIM removal tool on the little folder that holds the quick start guide.
Anything that will fit in the hole and is sturdy will work like as said a paper clip or a needle. You must push pretty hard for it to eject the card on some of them.
