My iPhone doesn't receive iMessages as texts when Wi-Fi is not available?
I'm always going over my data usage on my iPhone and I'm unable to use Wi-Fi most of the time except for in my dorm room because the Wi-Fi antenna is very weak. The problem is when I turn off my cellular data and there's no Wi-Fi available I'm unable to receive messages from my friends that have an iPhone. I only end up receiving the iMessages hours later when I get Wi-Fi.
How am I able to make my phone receive and send only text messages? I don't want to use iMessage at all. Or if it is possible make my phone receive the iMessages that my friends send to me as texts.
It takes a minute for I message to switch from I message to text. The issue is the other persons phone. Shoot them a text for there iPhone to realize you are no longer using I message and that should work. If not tell them to turn off imessage
- Why will my iPhone not receive iMessages for my phone number? I bought an unlocked iPhone and i was texting people through iMessage when I had Wi-Fi. Now I'm getting messages through normal texts only. When I go to the "Send & Receive" option under message settings, my phone number is there but it is gray in color and I can't select it. All the email addresses on the account can be selected but not my phone number. Can anyone help me?
- Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
- Why is iphone 6 ios 8.3 2.6gb available in mobile and 5.46 gb available in pc? When I checked it in my settings in the phone settings>general>usage 2.6gb is free. When I connected it in PC and synced it, 5.46gb is free. Why is that happening and how can i make 5.6gb free appear on my phone?
- Why doesn't my iPhone send or receive calls or texts? I purchased an iPhone second hand on t-mobile, 3G works fine but can't receive any calls or texts or send them. Thought the IMEI might have been blocked. Any ideas?
