My iphone dropped in water when can i turn it on?
I recently dropped my iPhone in about 3 inches of water and when i picked it up it was pretty wet so i immediately wiped off all the water that i could see and put in a bag of rice to soak out all of the moisture. Its been in there for around 15 hours or so and i checked on it and it gave me the charge sign but i read online to not charge after awhile or it could damage it even further. Should i charge it or should i give it another 12 to 24 hours.

You're supposed to keep your phone in the bag of rice for 48 hours (2 days). If you turn it on during that time it can ruin some circuit and it could completely damage your phone. Also you're not supposed to charge it at all during the 48 hours. It will ruin your phone. This happened to me a week or so ago and I did what I wasn't supposed to do and I had to get a replacement for my phone.
Bring it to an apple store and see what they say
Leave it like that for 3 days at least and also you can put under a lamp. Either way, just wait for a day or two more. It should work just fine after that.

Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
