My iphone fell into the toilet?
I took it out right away and put it in rice, overnight, at first it said "overheated" now it works perfectly except that the home button is broken and the screen has dark spots on it, should i leave it in rice a little longer?
Sure, why not? You're not going to make it any worse.
That said, it is unlikely to return to normal. You probably destroyed your phone. Time to get a new one.

I'm afraid that the heat may have damaged it as it was working after it had been in the water but it won't now. It just won't turn on. It is now in the rice, will it ever work again?
