My iphone got water damage and won't turn on?
I dropped my iphone 4s in the toilet earlier and it was probably in the water for 3 seconds at the most. I took my case off and dried it the best i could and shook it to get some of the water out. It was in rice for about 8 hours and I charged it for a little, and the screen won't even turn on, but the flashlight won't turn off.
It probably need a new battery

Try a restore.
Or DFU mode the kicking it out using tinyumbrella.
If that doesn't work take it to an apple store/genius bar.
It's got water damage. You need to get a new one.
If you haven't exchanged it already, if you go to the apple store they will give you a new one in exchange for that one.
8 hours… Lol… Try 3 days. Otherwise you might have ruined it.
Don't try and turn it on until its like 100% dry, if your lucky it will work, most likely it was on when it fell in and the water fries the logic board so your SOL i would recommend a rice bowl for a few days

My iphone is water damaged - got a new one through my insurance - need to send the old one to them - but it won't turn on properly for me to wipe the memory - what to do?
