My iphone has been spilt on

Hey so i just spilled some acetone for natural nails nail polish remover on my phone (on the top half) and immediatly ran and rubbed it off with a kitchen clothy thing, and its all off, and i took of my case and it was wet in there but i dried it out. My lock button seems to work well and everything, but now my back camera is a little jacked up, because its sorta blurry and it seeing double. Will the nail varnish evaporate? How long does it take. Mind you i have a iphone 5 so i'm really scared i broke it. Please answer as soon as possible!

Maybe try putting it in a bag of rice all night long. The rice will soak up any residue left over.

DO NOT TURN IT ON OR TRY 2. If you already have its not the end of the world. I went swimming with my ipod touch and I didn't know anything about how to try to save it.heres what i've learned put it in a bag of rice on the dash board of your car and leave it in the sun.place the ipod upside down in the bag of rice. It didn't work for me cause I tried to turn my on and I waited like a week till I put my ipod in the rice but I replace the screen for a fairly cheep price.hoped this helped

Same thing happened to me but with water get a big bowl fill half of it with rice put your phone in than fill it with more rice the rice absorbers the liquid the point of this is that your phone is 100% covered with rice and leave it in there for at least 24hours than get a hair dryer and dry out your phone even more than it should work fine

Like everyone says, stick it in DRY rice.

The whole point is that rice will absorb ANY moisture.

This is the best trick ever and works almost every time! I'd suggest it anyone!

  • Water spilt on iPhone? Will it turn back on? So I didn't realize there was water in my phone till after I plugged it in (it was dying) and I made the mistake of turning it on and playing with it. Then the screen was stuck (like when there's droplets of water on the screen) and it was left on headphones mode. That s when I put it in a bag of rice but IIm still scared that the circuit might be fried or something because I plugged it in.
  • Spilt ice cream in my iPhone? I was eating an ice cream cone and it dropped into the ear piece of my iPhone. Now when I try to call someone I can barely hear them through the ear piece even when the volume is turned up all the way. I don't know what I should do? I've already dropped my iPhone in water and everything and it still works I put it in rice. But any suggestions or should I just go try to get it fixed?
  • My IPhone got liquid spilt on it whilst charging? I didn't know and when I unhooked it this morning, the charger smelt burnt and sparked. The bit on the phone where the charger plugs in smells burnt. Is my phone beyond rescuing?
  • My iPhone 6s has no phone case and I've dropped it several times but there has never been any damage The screen hasn't cracked and it still works like new and the phone is as old as when the first iPhone 6s came out. But it's just funny because i Never have a case on it and it's fallen, maybe only 3 feet at most onto wood floors and nothing has happened yet. Anyone else relate?
