My iphone has drowned in water for about two minuets can i fix it?
Please help me.
Cpr.
Sorry, but 2 minutes is A LOT of time for an electronic to kill itself. Sorry, but its life is over.
Call the apple store or like this person said, cpr all the way: p anything that "drowns" usually gets screwed though
Disassemble the iPhone to the point the motherboard is free from the phone, put it on a bowl of uncooked rice for 24 hours and see if it functions later. I would have gladly helped you if i was local to your area
It is very likely past the point of being fixed. However, if you want to try, here are the things I've done with limited success to perfect success.
Throw the battery away and get another. Disassemble the phone into its two basic halves.
Your SIM card will likely work in a new phone, as will your memory chip. Pull them out.
Go to Hobby Lobby and buy "Silica Gel Desiccant" used to dry flowers. The coarse grain is better in this case. The fine powdery type could cake onto your parts and become part of the problem.
Put the desiccant into a small clean, dry jar. Cut a muslin cloth disk and put it on top of the desiccant in the jar. Put your parts on top of the cloth. Screw the lid back onto this jar of parts.
If the desiccant turns from blue color to brown or pink, separate it out of the jar and heat it in a pan inside a 300f hot oven.
Let it cool to 200f and put it back into the small empty jar, as before, with the cloth in place and lid. When it cools some more put the parts back on top of the muslin cloth, and close the lid. This method of drying does not use excessive heat, which often does as much damage as the water. Keep this process up for a couple weeks and the desiccant no longer turns pink, tan or even clear. Reassemble it all with a new battery. See if, the battery will take a charge. With a charged battery in it, try to turn it on. I expect you may be surprised! But at least, even if you don't do all this, dry the SIM card and memory chip. Just poke them into the end of a roll of paper towels for a while, OK?
- Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
- My iphone won't stay on for more than two minuets? I updated my iphone to that knew design thingy they just created. It worked fine at first, but than after a day it just would not stay on for more than two minuets (it would go into the recovery apple sign). Its fully charged and I can't think of anything that would cause it to shut down every two minuets. I'm not very smart at this technological stuff, so if anyone knows how to fix this, that would be great.
- My iPhone has water in it how can I get the water out? I got a little bit of water in it at my pool and it shutoff within a minute or so, it won't turn back on and I have had it in rice for over 10 hours.
- My iphone 5 has been water damaged how do I fix it? I dropped my phone in some water 2 nights ago, so as suggested by everyone I placed it in the box of rice. However I was in a state of panic and tried to switch the phone on. It is now stuck on a solid red screen and won't turn off. How do I fix this? I would also rather not have to take it apart in order to fix it
