My iphone keeps overheating?
I have a iphone 4, with 6.1 update. I had it plugged in and I have an otterbox defender case and it shut off and gave me a temp warning. I could feel the heat through my otterbox. I had to get a second iphone because of this same problem. But when I unplug it, it cools down. Is it just the charger?
Try using a second charger, the cord may be faulty and it could be giving excessive power to the phone. If not the cord you may want to try closing some of your apps. To do this click the home button 2 times while on the home screen, a little bar will come up. Simply hold the app like you going to delete it but instead it shuts off the app.
Put your charger in the freezer for fifteen minutes and when you take it out, plug your phone in. If it doesn't fix it, get a new charger.
Is the case keeping the heat in? It definitely shouldn't get that hot.
- Why is my iPhone 5 overheating? It's also killing my battery. I've barely used my phone today. I charged it overnight and started using it at 7 and its now 12:20 and I only have 14% plush phone is super hot. Why is it doing this?
- Why is my iPhone 4 overheating? It always says iPhone to hot get out of sun and shuts down, where I live it's 45F and cloudy, WTF!
- Why does my iPhone keep overheating? My iphone 4 keeps saying that it needs to cool down yet its not even hot. It'll work for about 5 minutes then go back to the temparure screen. Turning it off and on helps but only for about 5 minutes.
- Why does my apple iPhone charger keep overheating? Whenever I plug my phone in, I worry about whether it's going to die because I plug it in around 5% and a lot of the time my charger will overheat and stop charging even though its plugged in. So I'd have to unplug it for a bit and wait for it to cool down while my phone is dying. When I touch the charger it's always super warm. How do I fix this? Or is it just broken?
