My iPhone needs to be restored eveytime I update iOS?
I don't know why but every time I try and update iOS on my iPhone, iTunes says that my phone has gone into recovery mode and has to be restored. The iOS update finishes downloading fine but when the changes are actually going to be done to my iPhone, iTunes says that my iPhone needs to be restored.
I always sync my iPhone at night and it's really annoying because if the iOS update glitches, then it takes hours to finish.
I've had to restore my iPhone 3 times due to the iOS update crashing.
Any idea as to how to solve this problem?
Is it backed up? Make sure it is
- My iphone needs to be restored Arghhh! I just tried updating my iphone 4 to ios 6. I think it might have unplugged… Or something? Now itunes is saying its detected a phone in recovery mode and needs to be restored before it can be used with itunes. And the phone just shows an apple cable being plugged into itunes. Do I really have to restore it? And does that mean wiping the whole thing and losing everything? Please tell me thats not true and there's something I can do!
- IPhone restored. Only needs SIM card to activate? I found an iPhone & restored it, only problem is it needs a SIM card to activate. I'm willing to buy a SIM card but I just want to know if an inactivated SIM card would work? The phone is Verizon, so if I buy a Verizon SIM card on Amazon/eBay would it work?

- IPhone 4S IOS 7.0.6 or 7.1. I forgot my phone password and blocked it, then I restored it? It's now asking for my iCloud password (which i don't know) to activate the phone. I've got the SIM card is in it. I've tried to bypass it one the computer but when I put is into DFU mode for the first step it says ''Ignoring unsupported device UNSUPPORTED'' in the java window. What else can I do so I can use my iPhone?
