Something has gone wrong; ideally, you connect it to itunes. I hope you've backed it up, because stuff might get deleted when it will most likely ask you to restore it, which is what is customary to do. You can also get a programme like tinyumbrella, which forces it out of what is known as recovery mode.
however, my old ipod finally went into recovery mode, and i couldn't get it out, whether i plugged it into itunes or used tinyumbrella. Just a warning!
- Stuck iPhone 4 lock button! Stuck/Stripped screws Okay so, I've had this stupid panda case on my phone and it jammed my lock button. It still works if you push super hard from the side, but no clicking sound. I saw how to fix it by opening my phone up but the screws won't come out no matter what! I tried a screwdriver alone, with duct tape, rubber band, double sided tape, everything! I don't have a warranty on my phone, and I'm looking for a super inexpensive (>$5) way to fix it, any ideas?

- My iPhone is stuck on the apple boot logo. How do I get it off? I have an iPhone 4 (jailbroken on 5.1.1), and I decided to let the battery die and charge it up again. When I started to let it charge, it started up with the boot logo and it started showing the spinning wheel loader and it kept repeating. I manually restarted it, and this is now happening. Is there any way to get out of it? (Without updating to iOS 6 )
