My iPhone uses way too much data?
I just switched from a Galaxy S2 on Sprint to an iPhone 5S on Verizon. I have always used my phone a lot, and on my Galaxy I used less than 150MB per month. On my iPhone I've used 414MB in the four days I've had it. I haven't used it much differently than my Galaxy. I'm on Wi-Fi most of the time as it is. I can understand a *little* more usage but this is kind of ridiculous, at this rate I'll use 4GB in a month.
I'm seeing a lot of people are having similar issues. Is there a way to fix this? I don't mean a workaround like shutting off Cellular Data, I mean is there a way to make it use data properly instead of it skyrocketing every day?
Duhh! That is what happens when you drink the Apple Kool Aid. Switch back to Android.
Iphone runs more system apps and background apps and tasks than android. So it use more data. But you iphone use a lot. Download a app which gives you details which apps use how many data. I use avg antivirus to see which app use how many data. If you find any app use a lot of data you can disable that app.
You can do following things.
1. Delete unnecessary apps because they use your data for flash ads.
2.Install ad blocker to block all ads because they use your data very fast.
3.Close background apps after using them because they use your data.
- When does data for a iphone from Verizon reset? And what uses up data? I just got an iPhone and I'm getting messages that say that the "usage reset date" is 10/10. Does that mean that is the day my data will be reset? Also, what uses up data? All I've been doing since I got my iPhone is texting and looking at a few things on the internet but I'm always connected to my Wi-Fi.
- What uses data on an iPhone? So I just got my iPhone, and I have a 1GB Family Share Plan with my dad. He said to be careful about going over the data limit, or Verizon would end up charging us extra… So what uses up the data on the phone? I know that if I'm connected to wi-fi it won't be affected, but if I go on Safari or YouTube using 4G, how much will it take? Can someone tell me what exactly effects the phone's data usage?
- What uses data for my iPhone 4s? I have three questions: When I'm connected to Wi-Fi and I go on apps and stuff does that use data? So what uses data on the iPhone 4s? What is the cost if I go over my data limit?
- What apps uses most data on Iphone? Like which ones in general? I only have a little bit of data and still have a week to go but what apps use up the most data? Tumblr, twitter, safari, games, youtube, netflix, facebook, etc… And also, when your at home and have Wi-Fi, does it use your data up or does it stay the same?
