My iPhone won't let me take the bookmarks from my laptop off my phone?

I was trying to clear up some space on my iPhone and I went on safari and noticed that the same bookmarks from my laptop were on my phone and now I don't know how to get them off.

If it's what I think it is, go to the Settings app on your iPhone, tap iCloud, then turn Safari syncing off, when prompted whether you'd like to keep the information on your iPhone or not, choose to delete the Safari information from your iPhone. Note that this will only remove said bookmarks from your iPhone and not from your laptop or any other iCloud devices. Note also that disabling the option to sync Safari with iCloud will not only stop bookmarks from syncing but also things such as iCloud tabs. Hope this helps.

  • What does it mean when your iPhone syncs your bookmarks? I have an iPhone 5c and I tried adding a bookmark to my list on safari and a message popped up saying "bookmarks are syncing at the moment try again after synching is finished" what does that mean? Synching to what I'm not connected to a computer.
  • Really old bookmarks somehow on my iPhone 4? Alright so the other night I found on my iPhone safari a whole bunch of these bookmarked sites that were all from my girlfriends old laptop, but she got rid of her laptop like over two years ago and I got my phone a year ago. She's promised none of the sites there she looked up or bookmarked, so does anyone know how they possibly could be on my phone! Some sort of auto sync some how? I have absolutely no clue how they got there, answers please?
  • Is the iPhone reading lists any different from the favorites and bookmarks in safari? I've been using it for quite some time and I don't know whether I'm reading offline or using the internet to read these articles
