My iphone5 is activation lock. I baught it from craigslist?
I baught this phone from craigslist its a black iphone5 32GB I paid $400 for it and I can't get passed the activation lock. I tried getting in contact with the owner of the phone but its impossible. I tried jailbreaking it but its not working. What am I sapossed to do? I don't wanna get rid of it because I love my phone to much but I can't do anything with it. Can anyone help? I tried everything its not working. I tried to restore it but its asking me for the owners apple ID. However I don't know it of course. What do I do? Any solutions? This is almost like horror movie.

Sounds like you bought a stolen phone.
The only real way that you can do that is by getting a hold of Apple. And even then they may not help you because you need to show proof of purchase otherwise they assume by default that you stole it. IOS 7 was made with that security feature in mind so people could not activate stolen phones. But it has run a foul of people who do not know any better, who do not realize what it does.
- Who can tell me how to get past that activation lock on iPhone 5s? I have proof of purchase to an iPhone 5s I purchased from eBay. Apple informed me that they or my phone provider could bypass the activation lock and that is why I purchased the phone for a better price than buying brand new. Then neither the Apple store nor AT&T could help me with my problem. The seller hasn't been much of a help and will not give me the information I need to get past the activation lock, is there another way?

I want to know the difference between these term - blacklisted, bad imei and activation lock and for a iphone should i buy any phone that is blacklisted, bad imei or activation lock is it possible to bypass it… In the past i have bypass sim activation so is this possible as well?
- My iPhone 3GS is stuck on the Activation Lock Mode. How do I fix it? My iPhone I bought a few months ago was jailbroken/unlocked but when I wanted to restore the iPhone and remove the jailbreak and such, it got stuck on the Activation Screen.
