My jailbroken iPhone 4 can't connect to SIM-card after update?
The title says it. I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 and as I plugged it into my computer it asked me if I wanted to update the IOS. The updating-process went smoothly, but when I started the phone afterwards it said that it was unable to connect to my SIM-card (that i bought 2 weeks before this).
Does anyone know how I can unlock my iPhone?
Hi, it seems your iPhone is locked to a different carrier than your SIM card belongs to. To check the original carrier, use some of the carrier checkers available online (see the attached links). The price of a factory unlock (the official option to unlock your iPhone and use it freely) depends on the original carrier. I suppose you are not the original owner of the phone. If you are, then just contact your carrier (the one you bought the iPhone from) to unlock it for you.
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
- Can you use an old sim card in a new iPhone after transferring the info to a new sim card? I'm borrowing an iPhone from a friend, but it requires a sim card. He transferred all his information to a new sim card in a different phone. Can I use the old sim card on a different iPhone?
- Can you switch the iPhone 4 SIM card with an iPhone 4S SIM card? My mom has an iPhone 4S for sprint and I have an iPhone 4 for AT&T. Is it possible to switch SIM cards?
- Can you put a cut sim card into the old sim card slots? I have an iphone 5 and my sim card is cut down to fit into it. I want to be able to use my sim in my old nokia brick phone as well though because i'm attending a heavy metal festival next week and don't want my expensive iphone to get wrecked in the mosh. Just wondering if its at all possible.
