My laptop keeps shutting down?
Ok I'm using my iPhone right now… But my laptop keeps shutting down after 10 seconds I turn it on… I have 189GB left… I don't know what to do please help
If you've had it a few years or so, it's likely overheating. Get a can of compressed air and squirt it through the vents to blow all the dust out (don't shake it).
If it's a software issue (virus etc.), you can stop the shutdown by clicking the Windows icon, and typing 'shutdown -s' into the search/Run box; after that, use virus scanners etc.
Could be a power supply issue, could be overheating, could be mother board failure. Try a new power supply, try opening it up and see if its dusty or fans not working, and look for bulging or blown capacitors on the motherboard.
Ether your laptop is overheating or you have a power issue. I hope that there are other people that can give you a much more accurate answer.
It could be a number of things, such as a faulty power supply. The leads or battery might need replacing.
Or it could be overheating, try hoovering out the air vents to clear any dust. I think you need to get it looked at.
