My PC keeps shutting down/ restarting on its own
Ok, so my computer does not have internet right at the moment, but that is not the problem. Whenever I plug my iphone into the computer and open iTunes, it shuts down in between 10-20 seconds. Then it restarts again! Please keep your solution simple, as that is mostly why I came here.
Without knowing about driver conflicts, computer make and model and other variables the simplest solution would be to purchase an internal USB hub like http://www.amazon.com/...002VY53ZK/ USB Expansion I suspect there may be a grounding issue at play. That hardware solution wouldn't solve the actual issue but would successfully circumvent it.
The non-working internet suggests a missing driver so it would sorta stand to reason that your USB issue is also a driver based issue. Your Event log probably has the problem logged which would suggest a solution. If you know the problem then you can apply a solution.
Have you ruled out a power supply problem have you another PSU you can try?
