My pc won't recognize my new iPhone 5?
I just bought a new phone the other day, and after fully charging(so the USB cable works) it I wanted to sync it to my iTunes library (I also used to own an iPod which my computer recognizes), but my phone didn't respond to being plugged into the computer (not charging, not connecting to iTunes). I tried updating iTunes and rebooting both the computer and the phone. What else could I do?
If it's not the iPhone, PC, or iTunes, the only thing left is the cable or the USB port you've plugged it into. NEVER ASSUME that the cable or the USB port is good, until you've proven it one way or the other.
iTunes not connecting is one thing, but if the lightning cable isn't charging the phone, that's a bad cable or port issue.
The other thing to do is to uninstall iTunes and then install the current version. You mentioned that you just updated it; sometimes it takes a full uninstall/reinstall to get it going again.

When I plug up my iPhone to my computer, it doesn't register that it is plugged in. Nothing is wrong with my charger and nothing is wrong with my computer. Is there any easy way to fix this problem? I really don't want to and don't know how to mess with my Wi-Fi router or whatever it's called.
