My Verbatim harddrive won't start?
I was updating my iphone via Itunes, which is on my 1tb Varbatim hardrive and Itunes crashed and shut down. I then went to reload my HD and my computer did not recognise that it is plugged in. So I plugged the hard drive into my laptop and still it is not recognised. I have tried going into "disk management" via my computer but the hard-drive is not showing to format.
When I plug the hard drive in it makes a whirling sound (or a sort of clicking sound about 10 times) then does nothing but the blue light stays on to say that It is on and has power from the computer; but yet nothing I can do on the computer to access.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can access the HD on my computer, even if to format and lose the information.
Thank you,
Added (1). Thanks CanadaRAM - I thought that maybe the answer but thought there maybe a miracle answer. The harddrive is only 2 months old off to Verbatim I go - even though I don't mind losing the information I really don't want to.

Your hard drive is dead (it was the drive that crashed iTunes, not the other way around)
The clicking sound (the "click of death") is the heads crashing against the stops at the end of their travel.
If the drive is under warranty (and some Verbatim drives carried warranties of 3 years up to 7 years, check your receipt or packaging or model number) then you should be able to get it replaced. If you open the external case to format or recover from the drive however, you will void the warranty.
Contact Verbatim first.
- What language should I start with to start developing iOS apps? If I want to develop iPhone apps, should I learn Python first or just go straight to objective C or learn something else? I have 0 programming skills and have only done some web development. I have a Mac and Xcode.
- Possible to switch iphone 6 hard drive into iphone 6s harddrive? (for more memory space)? So I've broken my old iphone 6 which had way more storage than this new one, and I was wondering if I can change the hard drives or whatever holds the memory from phone to phone. I did buy an iPhone 6s so I'm not sure if the iphone 6 and 6s has different hardwares or whatever. But just curious.
- Original iPhone won't start up It plugs in and the screen lights up to the silver apple, stays on that screen for like 20 seconds then black out. No water damage. Any ideas? Screen looks like this: How? The image I attached is the only thing I can see/access and it is plugged in but iTunes doesn't recognize it as being plugged in.
