New iphone 5 charge or drain?

I just got my new iphone and I plugged it into my laptop to sync music and stuff, should i continue to charge it until its full or unplug it and let it die completely? It's a little over half way charged now.

For new iPhone, charge completely. I always like it fully charged. Never know if you may need it for a long call.

I generally let it charge completely, but I don't do a full cycle and continue to use it.

Do a full cycle charge once a month (that's optimum), but most people do more than that:

Apple link for battery care, it will also tell you about full cycle charges. Both links are different articles, read different links:

[sorry I would give instructions in the answer but I can't put the graphs here so I have put links instead]

  • Why does my iphone 5 drain so fast? I do everything to help battery life and even turn on airplane mode, but in the morning it's 100% then I don't use it at all 1hout later boom 50 percent.
  • Why does my iPhone 4S drain extremely fast when 4G is turned on? I always keep my 4G data off because if I leave it on, I'll lose a large percentage of my battery. Why is this? I use AT&T. How do I make my battery not drain? Its a huge difference between the rate my battery drains when you compare it to when I only have Wi-Fi on.
  • Battery on my iPhone 4S doesn't fully drain? My battery life is weird instead of draining all the way down to 1% it dies at around 12%? What can I do to change this? Or improve battery life overall?
  • Should I completely drain my iPhone 5c's battery before first charge? I've just got my brand new iPhone 5c today and it came with about 90% battery when I first turned it on. I'm now on it and it has 55% charge. I'm wondering wether I should drain the battery to 0% then fully recharge it to 100%, that's what used to be recommended but I'm not sure if you still have to do it. Will you please let me know what I should do. I will get to sleep in around 2 hours, FYI.
