New iPhone release date? Will price of other iPhones go down? If so by how much?
I know the announcement for the new 5S/5C is happeneing on the 10th September, but when will the new iphones be available in Ireland? I'm not looking to get the new 5S, but either the 4S or 5 depending on if they go down in price, which i'm guessing they will? Can anyone remember what happened last year when the 5 came out?
I don't think the retail price dropped much or at all infact at the release of the iPhone it went down though as the year went by. However the contracts will be much cheaper than what they are now. Also it's rumoured they will hit the shelf on the 20th September
It will be unveiled on September 10th (next Tuesday) and most likely go on sale in a lot of countries on September 20th.
Price may be in the region of $330 (£210) for the iPhone 5C although this is by no means certain. The iPhone 5S will be in the £500-600 range.
Edit - With the iPhone 5C launch it is rumoured to be replacing the iPhone 5 - so the iPhone 5 will be discontinued after the launch of these new phones.
The 5S will likely be available on September 17-20 in Ireland (sometime between those dates), and the prices for other iPhones will indeed drop, as they always do.
