Release date for iPhone 5 in South Africa?
Please tell me the release date for the iPhone 5 in South Africa. On the US apple store it says that the iPhone 5 will cost 199$(1780.055 Rands) but here in South Africa how much will it cost?
I don't think the pricing differs unless you were getting the phone unlocked. In that case, you'd be running around 500 bux.
A *** load more than the US prices. I bought my 16GB iPhone 4S for R8000 so the iPhone 5 will probably be around R10000, more for higher storage capacity

The release date on our service providers is in December 2012. But the phone is available at some stores, just ask around. I know New World at Menlyn Pretoria has iPhone 5s at R12000.
So they are not available on contract yet. If you want one now already, you can order an unlocked one online or buy one in SA and vodacom does have nano sims for it
