New laptop - iTunes problem?
I recently just got a new laptop and downloaded iTunes so that I can continue to put songs on my iPhone, but it won't let me drag songs and put them in my phone?
What's wrong? How can I fix it?
The most likely reason why this would happen is that your new laptop probably has the default setting in iTunes set to automatically sync songs with your iPhone (you can find this under the Songs tab when you select your device in iTunes). If Sync Music is turned on, you can't manually drag music to the iPhone. Deselect this first and then you will be able to drag songs onto your iPhone again.
- Setting up iTunes on a new laptop My sister and I both have iphones and we use the same itunes on her laptop. I'm in college now so I want my own itunes on my own laptop now. So my question is, how do I get the music that is currently on my phone and in the itunes on my sister's laptop to my laptop? We have separate apple IDs btw.
- I have a new laptop and have Itunes, I want to make a new, fresh account? Previously My whole family (about 7 devices) were all on one itunes account and one laptop. This caused me to get my dads bagpipe music, my moms Irish music, and my brothers horrible rap music. This laptop is all mine and i want to have my own music. I'm fine with repurchasing all the songs again. But i need to permanently delete all my old itunes files on my iphone now then add it to my new account. Can someone show me how to do that?
- I got a new laptop but my iPhone won't download the new music? So I have an old laptop that has over 1000 songs but it is so painfully slow when downloading new music. I finally got a new laptop that has no music on the iTunes library so I downloaded about 10 songs to my new MacBook. However, when I connected my iPhone to the new MacBook, I could not add these new songs to my phone. The old laptop is almost completely busted and I really don't want to have to bring the old laptop to college next week, but I really want to download new music help.
- I don't know how to transfer itunes from my computer to my new laptop I was told to download iTunes and allow home sharing but i have no idea what to do now. I was able to transfer all of the apps from my iphone to itunes on my laptop. If i sync my iphone to the laptop will it delete all my contacts, photos, music etc?
