New SIM on iPhone 4 with no service?

I recently got a new Sim only contract for my iPhone 4. I have now put in the new SIM but it's constantly saying "No Service".It is with T-Mobile. Does it take time to have everything up and running or do I need to do something on my part?

It sounds like you need to call T-mobile, 150 from your handset or 0845 412 5000 from a landline and get your SIM card provisioned. They will likely ask you to read the SIM card number to them or else ask some security questions to make your SIM card go live.
