Next tablet/computer for college use?
I currently have a Macbook Pro 15inch and need to find a new device for college.
I was thinking of these matches:
1) Keep my Macbook Pro 15in for writing papers and doing heavy work, and buy a new IPAD for college notes, textbooks and everyday computing.
2) Keep my Macbook Pro 15in for writing papers and doing heavy work, and buy a new IPAD MINI for college notes, textbooks and everyday computing.
3) Replace my 15in for a Macbook Air for taking everywhere and college notes. And get an iPad for quick notes, textbooks and everything that the air can't do.
I do have an iPhone 5.
I believe traveling as light as possible.
That's pretty much it (:
If you have any other ideas or matches, please tell me. I'm entering as a freshman in August. <3
Ipad's are really thin and light, but I agree that for school you need the laptop as you will use a keyboard alot.
I'd get the iPad as the portable device for most of the time, and use the Macbook just in case you need something more powerful.
As light as the MacBook Pro is, lugging around a 15" would add up over time. I'd swap it out for a 13" Air and use that almost all of the time. You may not even need an iPad at all.
Between iPad and iPad Mini, I actually prefer the iPad Mini's onscreen keyboard more. You could also get a keyboard case for the iPad Mini for around $40 extra bucks and use that.
Hope this helps!
- Which computer should I get for college? I'll be going into engineering. I've traditionally been a windows person, but I'm thinking about getting a Mac, especially since I got an iPhone about 7 months ago and I love it. I also am thinking about getting a Windows 8 tablet/iPad, since they look cool, but i don't know if they are as capable as laptops are. What do you think?
- What tablet should i buy for college? - 1 I have a Macbook Pro and an iPhone 5. That's why I was thinking of getting the iPad 5 when it comes out in the summer. But what other tablet is best for college? I was also thinking about the Galaxy Note 10.1 because of the pen… What about the Nexus 10? Powerful and cheap, but no stylus and laggy. Transformer Prime? Pretty good, I haven't heard anything horrible so far. Any other tablets?
- What tablet / computer do I need? I have macbook pro 15" with dedicated GPU already, Wacom Intuos Pro large, iPhone 5s. However, people complain that I take too heavy stuff which I don't mind. I have a solution is to buy a big backpack for my on the go. I need to have the ability to sketch, draw, , take note, and work on the go, whenever the idea / inspiration come out.
- Tablet snapshots on the Tablet and iPhone? I'm not very tech-savvy guy, go please forgive me. But does a Samsung note 10.1-the 2013- snapshot consume more memory space than a iPhone 4 in general? Here are the dimensions(again I do not know what I'm doing) Tablet(Note) 10.1" widescreen 1280x800 WXGA TFT LCD 149 pixels per inch (ppi) iPhone 4 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches (~330 ppi)
