Nikon D3100 video recording?
How come when I'm recording video with this camera the recording isn't continuous. When you watch the video and people are moving such as waving, running or moving their mouths or heads there are small pauses that are constant. This is hard to explain but the video isn't smooth. It's almost like the camera is constantly adjusting itself, therefore all the video seems distorted. My iphone and my cheap sony camera take better video than this.
Where are you viewing this video?
Some problems happen when you convert to HD video. One could be your computer is older and can't handle the huge data stream created by HD video. I had to upgrade my computer for HD. This switch is no picnic.
Have you viewed any of this video on an HD flat screen television? If so did it act the same way?
If so I'd call Nikon and discuss it with them.
I shoot a Canon t1i and I have the same kinds of problems from time to time… No often but once in a while. That appears to be the nature of CMos sensors recording HD video.
First though check your computer, how old is it? Then view some video on an HD flat screen.
Problem persists, call Nikon.
What is the class of your SD card? If you are recording 720p, you need a Class 6 card, a Class 10 for 1080p.

- What has better video quality Nikon d3100 or iphone 4s? Thank you No, it isn't a joke. They both have video recording capability so I'm just wondering if the Nikon has better quality.
- Video recording apps for the iPhone 4s? Me and my sister are filming a funny video which requires pausing during a recording. I was wondering if anybody knows any video taking apps for the iPhone 4s that allow you to pause during the recording of a video.
- Recording iPhone game, Can't sync video to audio? Hello I'm recording my iphone 4s screen with display recorded, there's no lag at all. I'm also using an aux jack to my computer to record the sound through audacity. I'm using Pinnacle HD Studio 15 for my video editing. The problem is i can't get the audio to sync to the video. Every time i play the preview the audio is quite far behind the video, Even though i'm pressing record on my iphone and comp at the same time.
