Number appearing in message on iPhone that never have received a text from?

I have a iPhone 4 through Verizon. I have been having a problem where a number that I have never texted or received a text from keeps appearing in my messages. It doesn't give me a new message notification it just updates itself a certain times to make it at the top of my messages. I have blocked the number and looked it up and found out the number is of an AT&T store (once again I'm on Verizon) in Wisconsin. Not sure what it is doing to my phone so need some help to make it stop!

  • Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
  • Why could i have gotten a text message with no text box? Yesterday morning, I looked at my smart phone ( android) and I got a text from someone. I clicked on the contact's text and there was no message, no blank bubble, nothing. It just looked like one of us was getting ready to start a conversation but no message was sent. (Extra info: I may be wrong but I think this certain contact has an iphone.) What could cause this? I don't want to ask the person because it would be extremely awkward.
  • What should I do if I never received an item off ebay? My friend tried to buy an iphone off ebay, and paid but never received his phone. He emailed the seller who said they were out of stock and he would be refunded his money on his pay-pal account. He was never refunded his money. What should he do?
  • On my Iphone 4S. How do I lock a received text message so I don't accidentally delete it? I use to have an Android and there was a button I just pressed and it locked a message, saving it in case I accidentally deleted the conversation. My Iphone 4S doesn't seem to have this feature. Anyone know how I can easily lock text messages received so I don't accidentally delete?
