How to put songs on my IPhone?

I had to re-download the Itunes Program on my computer and now there's nothing in it. I would usually add songs by downloading them from a website, drag them into my library, then sync my IPhone and bam! I would have the songs on my IPhone. But now that isn't working. I can't drag and drop anything onto my IPhone and it's quite irritating and frustrating. Someone told to just "Sync Music" but that said it would delete everything on my IPhone and add what is in the Library which is like 4 songs at the moment, while I already have 406 songs on my IPhone. How do I add music to my IPhone again?

Ok, so i downloaded like 10 apps on my iPhone 4 and they still say "waiting… "
How can i make them load faster? I've been waiting for about an hour.
When i downloaded them, my phone was connected to itunes and i unplugged it just when i was done looking for apps, so should i have waited for them to fully load before unplugging it? If so, what can i do to fix the problem?

My volume doesn't work on my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4, and the volume buttons suddenly stopped working. Also, when I go onto my music it normally has a slide bar to adjust the volume, but that has now disappeared. My speaker works whilst on the phone but doesn't allow me to play music. I've tried everything: restarting my phone, turning my phone off silent, blowing into the speaker but nothing works. Any idea what it could be? Also i've been in Scotland all week and didn't have any signal due to the location, but now that I'm back home it's forever one bar when it's usually 5, and my Wi-Fi keeps turning off.
