Did I do wrong? Is this considered stealing?

I work at a company were tons of people tend to pass through. One day as I was casually walking through the parking lot before getting into the building I happen to run into an iphone 6. Instead of turning it in to the lost and found I decided I was going to deliver the device personally to its rightful owner (because I couldnt trust leaving it there) so I placed it in to my vehicle. A fellow coworker happened to ask people if they had found a device and I gladly told them I had it. I led them to my vehicle and gave it to them. Now i'm thinking I made a mistake since I may seem to look as a thief towards the company, specially since no one knew my intentions. Am I in the wrong even after I turned it in? Was this considered stealing? Can I even use this place as a recommendation anymore (worked here for over 8 years) In case I decide to work elsewhere?

Added (1). The phone wasn't password protected but since I was running late I couldnt call or check to see if there was a facebook account I could leave a post in to. I had lost something of great value to me, checked there for a two weeks to see if anything showed up but nothing. Turns out that one of the days I was off, someone happened to have found the pair and turned them in. Only thing is that the same day an employee decided to dig through and took my shades but I never found out who took them.

Added (2). This all happened in the span of an hour. Never saw the owner but he did leave a phone number which I personally saw a coworker call to alert them that their device was found.

Is there any hope to bypassing an activation screen on the iphone6?

Please hold back any negative judgement. LESSON LEARNED!
I purchased a Iphone 6 off a man off craigslist. Paid him and went about my way. When I got home I'm stuck at what would be the screen to log into his email & password. I tried many times to contact this man and he deleted his account through craigslist. Yes, I know leads me to think the phone was stolen also. So, I take out the sim card and says Tmobile. I call Tmobile and explain to them the same situation. I give her the IMEI number on the phone. She clears with me that the phone is not on any type of block with them. The phone is not reported stolen, nor does anyone owe money on it etc. I asked her if its possible to track down the person who owns it to get this removed, She tells me there's no way for them to do so. UGHH! She says to me that she can direct me to APPLE and speak to someone on there end about seeing if there's a way to bypass it since there's no block on this phone with tmobile. I speak to APPLE and the man pretty much tells me, This was a hard lesson learned for me and that I should pretty much be smarter the next time around. I guess I now have one expensive paper weight. I see all these sites online to pay to have it bypassed, but who knows what's scams anymore or not. Is there even a company that will do this so I can take it there and pay for it to be done and know I'm not being scammed. This really sucks! And shame on someone for taken someone's hard earned money and leaving them!

IPhone app/website that posts photos without likes, followers, and time stamps?

Does anyone know of any apps where one is able to upload photos without having to deal with the hassle of followers, likes, comments, or time stamps saying the date or minutes past since the photo was posted?
VSCO is like this in that you can follow accounts, but you don't see how many followers they have, and you can't comment or like on photos. The only downside is that VSCO lists the exact date and time the photo was uploaded to anyone who is looking at it. I'm looking for an app or website that does not give a time stamp, nor deals with followers, likes, comments, etc. Like Instagram.

Does iPhone 6 case work with iPhone 6s?

How the iPhone locked itself?

I work at a metro pcs and a few days ago a guy came in and he got an iPhone case. When i was about to check him out he realized he forgot his wallet. He handed me "his phone" and said i can hold on to it as insurance that he will be back to pay for the case and he took off and never came back so yesterday i opened the phone as it had no lock to look for a number to call but it was clean except a few pictures which did not looked like the guy who gave me the phone. I saw email notifications so i opened the email app and an error came up saying first connect to the internet. So i connected to the Wi-Fi and soon after the phone got locked and text pooped up saying " i possess a unique set of skills, i will find you and i will kill you " any idea how the phone got locked when it didn't even had lock before? And why that text pooped up?
