Spilled gel on iPhone 4 earpiece

So I was opening a jar of hair gel for my friend and my phone was on the counter & some gel fell from the top to my phone.luckily it was just on the screen but then I realized it got on the earpiece speaker & now when someone calls me or I call them I have to talk on speaker. This happened to today so its not like there has been time passing between the incident and now. But anyways is there anyway that I can resolve this issue myself before taking it to an apple store or a repair place? I'll try anything!

What happens if I restore my iphone?

I have 4.8 GB of "other" on my iphone, and I'd like to finally get rid of it all. The best way, I've heard, is to restore your phone. I have never intentionally "backed up" my iphone, and manually saved everything, but apparently every time you sync your phone, it automatically backs up. I'm just terrified I will lose all of my pictures and music once restoring, so is there a way to see what is being backed up? Or will they all be there if I just synced it?

Why isn't my IMessage not working for 1 contact?

My girlfriend and I both have an iPhone 4s. We're both updated with the latest iOS software (6.1.3). Yet for the past week it has not let me send her an iMessage. I also have an Ipod touch(my old iPhone 4) and an iPad (3rd generation), I have tried send her iMessages on all 3 devices, yet it still won't let me. I have already tried:
Turning all three on and off
Turning on and off the iMessage on all 3 devices
Signing out and signing back in on my iMessage for all 3 devices
Changing the contact name.

I have even tried turning off my phone off and then trying to send iMessage through my iPad yet it just says not delivered.

I don't like to use my 3G constantly / whenever i leave the house which is daily because of how expensive it is and the only way I found to turn it off is airplane mode but in airplane mode you can't text or call which nearly ruins the purpose of my phone.
