I get the iphone could not be restored.an unknown error occurred (3014)? - 1

My Iphone 4 gets this message when I try to update it through Itunes… "the iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3014)". I have the latest version of Itunes, and my IOS version is 4.2.1 (trying to update it to 6.0.1). I've tried all the help options the apple website gives. Like plugging it directly into the back on my computer, disabling my antivirus, disabling my firewall.
Its downloaded the update and everything, and it goes through extracting and verfiy and then the error seems to appear. I can't restore my iphone through itunes as it asks to be updated before I restore. My iphone isn't jailbroken either.

Can I use an Iphone 4s without sim card?

I'm planning to buy an Iphone 4s, but not interested in buying a plan, a sim card etc.
I already have an old fashioned motorola cell phone, that is more than enough for me.
I want an Iphone to use is just for the camera (takes better pics than an Ipod), and accessing internet.
before I had an Ipod, at home we have internet and I were able to access internet with that Ipod, will I be able with the Iphone 4s too?

our regular cell phone is working by just adding minutes when we need it, so not expert about contract phones.

Witch IPhone 5 should I get?

Hi I'm thinking about getting the new iphone 5 but I don't know witch one to get. The iphone 5 16 gb or the 32 or the 64? Witch one fits my life better? I don't take that much picture I only take about 50 pictures a year and record about 10 videos a year. I don't go on the internet that much either cause that what my laptop for so I don't need Wi-Fi.
