Serial number wrong on iPhone 4S?

Well I just noticed that my serial number on my sim tray on my IPhone 4S is different than the one on the software. I probably switched sim trays because I was messing with my friend's SIM card and they got switched. And he thew away that iPhone because he broke it so now I have a sim tray with the wrong serial number. And I have apple care+ on this iPhone but since it has the wrong sim tray it won't show up. So how do I fix this? Planning on selling it but can't transfer apple care because of sim tray serial.

Should i upgrade my iphone (ios) to 6.0.1?

My iphone is a iphone 3gs new bootrom with ios 5.0.1 on it.
should i upgrade to 6.0 or 6.0.1.

i'm fine with any version just not below ios 5.

cydia says i have 6.0.1 but tiny umbrella doesn't.

remember the latest untethered is 5.1.1 but i'm not really bothered about jailbreak right now because the 6.0.1 one is almost out, just semi tethered. I don't care. Its just my iphone has been at bit slow and freezing, probably because i delete stuff, like photos and videos a lot.

i have my photos and videos backed up btw on my computer, away from itunes.

should i upgrade to 6.0.1, or should i stay at 5.0.1 (restore) or should i update to 5.1.1. Basically its this three firmwares. No ios 4. X.X
