Is Kik free internationally?

I'm currently in the UK, on a £25/month contract on T-Mobile; when texting Ba I get this message about my balance: "Your current allowance is: *500 texts remaining* *100 minutes remaining* unlimited texts in the UK* Internet on your phone."

I have an iPhone, and a really good friend in the USA. I want to know if Kik messenger Really is free to use, mainly for texting internationally? Are there any hidden costs?
It says it depends on your data plan, and I don't have unlimited internet, but access to Wi-Fi whenever I'd be using Kik

Main things to check on an second hand iphone 4?

I'm buying a second hand iphone 4 from someone locally and going to their house to collect. What are the main things I should look for so I know it's all working? Is there anything they are known for, for breaking?
How can I tell if the phone is on contract? As its being sold as PAYG.
Sorry if I sound like an idiot, I just don't want to miss anything!

Is the iphone 3G still worth buying in 2012?

My old android broke so I needed a replacement - I looked on ebay and found a refurbished iphone 3G for about £120.So I'm not sure if an iphone released in 2008 will still be very good in 2012. Opinions?

What is the cheapest way to get an iPhone with Sprint?

I Really want an iPhone for my birthday. So I have some questions about how to do that, and remember I'm on the Sprint network: P (yes I know they suck, but I can't change)
1. What Sprint plan do I need?
2. Should I buy the phone from Sprint or from Apple?
3. I'm not eligible for an upgrade right now, but my dad's phone is.couldn't I buy it for his phone number then swap the device once I get it?
4.It says Apple's price is $200 for the 16gb. Is it still $200 if I were to get if for my phone number, which is not eligible for an upgrade from Sprint? Or would I end up paying like $600?

Any answers are great! Or any additional information would help too!
