GBC A. D. X + iPhone Emulator Pokemon Gold?

I was playing Pokemon gold on my iPhone, and randomly during a battle the fight animation stopped working. For example if i was to use ember attack, no flames would be shown but the screen will still shake and the opponent will be damaged. So what i want to know is how i can fix this problem, I've already tried starting a new game, restarting my iPhone, and re-springing my springboard so I'm stumped.

On a side note yes, i do own the actual Pokemon Gold game cartridge, however after 12 years the battery inside it hasn't fared to well.

Apps won't install on my iPhone 3G?

I've recently bought my friends old iPhone off of her, and have tried to download some apps like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. However, they will not download because it says the software update iOS 4.3 is needed to install them, but I know that my friend had the apps downloaded before she gave the iPhone to me. I tried to install the newest software on my iPhone but you can't get this version of the software on the iPhone 3G. Does anyone know of a way I would be able to get the apps back onto the iPhone?

Chat apps for iPhone and Blackberry?

My cousin and I are so close and we always talk through BBM. I just got an iPhone so I'm not sure what app we could use to still talk. We were going to use Whatsapp but its not working on her phone and needs to get it fixed. Could you please name any apps we could use in the meantime? I can't text because I live in London and she lives in the States. :\

What is an API in computer science?

This past summer I interned at a small software company and I wrote an iPhone app that dynamically generated a user interface based upon a given XML string. In doing so, I wrote a series of classes, that allowed this to happen.

I'm now trying to put this experience on my resume. Would it be appropriate to say that I "designed an API"? The classes that I wrote were only used in one iPhone app, but in theory someone could copy the code into a new project and use it elsewhere
