Giffgaff is the best network for pay as you go, and one-month rolling deals. I'm with them, £12 gets me 500 mins and unlimited texts and data for a month. They have much better customer service than Vodafone or t mobile. I'm not sure which networks offer the best contract deals.

The 32gb 5s costs £630. A contract will cost a lot less, in the long term, than buying outright and paying for credit. Buying outright is nice because the phone is yours to keep and sell if you want, and you're not obligated to pay anything after you buy it, but the ultimate deciding factor for me is the cost of keeping the phone, so I'd get it on contract.

PAYG is better because you have full control of money, EE has good payg
