PC 'Parameter is incorrect'?

All I want to do is backup my photos from my iPhone onto my computer… So I go into my computer once I have connected my phone to it and copy the photos… Go to my pictures and paste… It gets half way through and it just says 'parameter is incorrect'… What does that mean and how can I fix it! I have tried about 5 times now in different locations too and it only says that so does anybody know how I can fix this problem?

Thanks!

Added (1). This is my home laptop… I'm the administrator… It is Windows 8 HP. I'm no whiz at computers so please don't answer in gibberish

There are a couple of possible reasons but the most common one is a disk problme which we can check easily, depending on your authorizations on the network drive.

Are you the admin of this network (is it a home network or work)?

If HOME… Then please first do a checkdisk on all disks involved.
A- CHKDSK /R /F:

Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt.

Do this for each hard drive on your system.

When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter.

Then reboot and let the test run.

It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors.

See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

B- Elevated Command Prompt:

Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)

At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

Never ever copy and paste any file.

copy and paste is meant for text.

use Copy to,
or use Move to

So Pulsar, if you said don't "Copy and paste is for text only' IT AIN'T WORKING MAN! I don't know if its the system but there's something wrong man.
