People with iPhones, is it worth paying for AppleCare+?

I'm goig to buy the iPhone 7 soon, but I was just wondering if it is even worth to pay for AppleCare+? To people who have payed for it and used it, do you think it was worth it?

Added (1). Can someone tell me a bit about their experience and why or why not they found it to be beneficial?

Maybe

No way.

It's worth it to the people that can't afford to pay full price for a phone and can ONLY get a phone making monthly payments. So if you lose, destroy or have your phone stolen or dropped to the bottom if a lake, and can afford to replace the phone out of pocket, then it might be worth it to you not to spend less to get a new phone, and just fork over full retail.

So if you have ever had a broken screen, your options are paying $100+ to replace the screen or whatever AppleCare+ price is. Same for a damaged phone, the replacement price is a LOT less than full retail for a replacement.

I bought it for the iPhone 4s and it came in handy. I was washing my bed sheet but I didn't shake it to make sure everything fell out. Put it in the washer and it got a good clean. Luckily I got AppleCare so I was able to get a replacement for 50$.

Also bought it for the 6s+ and 7+ but haven't used it yet.

Buy it if you're not going to put it inside a waterproof case or put on a screen protector. I had a coworker who had a cracked screen and it could have been prevented with a screen protector.

In most cases it's not worth it because odds are that you'll never use it. I've had an iPhone since it was launched and in almost 10 years I've only had 1 iPhone replaced. Never had a screen completely cracked. The 3d has a little crack line but it's barely noticeable.

I have never owned Apple care personally, but I think it's probably worth the money if you drop you your phone a lot and crack it. For me though it probably isn't. I never broke a phone screen in my life

I personally never buy any extended warranties but if you are prone to potentially damaging the phone, this should be a good cover. I'm on my 5th iPhone (model) & never had to use the warranty for damage.

I do not buy this. I also do not drop things, have them fall into the toilet, run them they the wash, etc. But then - ever day of my life I hold a10 grand musical instrument, and have never dropped that, either - or any of its more modest predecessors when I was a student. I do not break drinking glasses (because good Scotch is not cheap!) And generally do not doing up things around the house (even after the Scotch). Only you know if you are a careful person, living in a secure environment. Students are most likely to have s good phone STOLEN - that is my only over ride on the "careful person" advice.
