PERFORATED EARDRUM DISCHARGE BUILD-UP?
My eardrum ruptured because of an ear infection two days ago. After, it drained for a while and then stopped. (But from what I've heard, it should drain longer than that.) Also, my ear stopped hurting directly after the perforation, but then the pain came back a couple of hours afterward. After school today I used a couple of mirrors and my iPhone flashlight to see for myself what was going on, and there's a huge wall of liquid-y pus/discharge that is just sitting there in my ear canal not going anywhere; I'm thinking this is the cause for my extra pain. So, how should I get it moving and out of my ear? It seems thick. My mom and I were thinking of using a bulb to lightly suck out what is sitting on the outside and hopefully start up the flow again. However, we figured it be best to find out more before we went in and made things worse. (Also, please don't mention going to/asking our doctor because that's a rather generic response, and everybody already knows to do that. We're hoping for a cheap, do-it-ourselves way before resorting to that.) HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO ANYONE BEFORE?
I've never had this specifically happen to me but every now and again my ear will get filled with earwax from an infection or something. I tilt my head to the side and pour in a cap of hydrogen peroxide (Don't worry it won't hurt!) Depending on how much gunk is in there, it will start to fizz and foam up (This means the hydrogen peroxide is working) it will probably tickle from all the bubbles popping around. After about a minute or so (or until it stops fizzing) tilt your head to the other side and let it drain out. Feel free to do this 1-3 times. If after the 3rd try its still full, try getting a q-tip and LIGHTLY (I can't stress this enough) poke the liquid wall. Do NOT go all the way to the back of your ear! If there's hardened earwax near your drum, you might push it into the drum and cause pain. Just try to poke the liquid wall a few times to see if it breaks.
If none of these works, (and I know everyone hates hearing this) you might have to go to a doctor because it seems that this might be too bad to cure it with a DIY solution. If push comes to shove and you really don't want to go, call the doctors office and ask them if there's anyone you can just ask over the phone for advice.

- Paying someone to build iphone game? I have a great idea for a mmo - type game for droids and iphones. Not good at all with technical stuff like coding/game engines, tried to learn a few times. Didn't go well. However, I have had this game idea for almost a year now and I still think its a good, fun idea. I still get excited at the thought of it. Since I can't code, do you think it's a good idea to pay someone to help me make it? And how do I go about finding someone? I really want my game idea to become real.
