How do I get pictures off my iPhone and onto my computer?
Is there an easy way to transfer photos taken on my iPhone onto my computer? I'm worried that if I click the option to sync the phone with iPhoto, it will just put all those photos on the phone instead of taking pictures off of it.
If your phone has an SD card like mine has, put the pictures on the SD card and then put the SD card in the computer and transfer the pictures off of that.
Set up iCloud. Even PhotoStream will do it - but differently. So will Google Pictures and several other apps. DONE. You do have to move them to other folders eventually, or they will be automatically erased - but you have over a month to do that.
Since you mentioned iPhoto (which is sort of odd since that app was discontinued a while now) you should have a Mac therefore an easy way would be to use Image Capture.
You could import them & then once they are on, use that to also delete them from the phone.

if you are using a mac there's a super easy way to do this. Use spotlight or go to applications and find image capture. It will let you download your iphone pictures straight to your photos folder or wherever you want it to go.
