Problem unlocking iPhone 3gs on iOS6?
I'm trying to unlock my iphone 3gs on iOS6. I already installed ultrasn0w then I tried to install 'ultrasn0w fixer for iOS6' but I'm having problems adding the repo: http://cydia.iparelhos.com. I'm getting this error:
Sub-process gzip returned an error code (1)
Failed to fetch
http://repo.iparelhos.com/./Packages.gz Sub-process gzip returned and error code (1)
Is there an alternate way for this
Ultrasnwow only works on certain baseband, if you updated to UPS 6.0 or 6.0.1, and didn't preserve the old baseband, then Ultrasnwow just won't work.
Get it factory unlocked and forget about these hassles forever. It's a permanent unlock and your phone won't lock back. You can mail this person (arghyle@rocketmail.com) who can help you get the phone unlocked.

- Unlocking sim for iPhone 3gs? Ok, so I've been having a lot of trouble with trying to unlock my iPhone. I jail-broke my phone a month ago and I have cydia and all that stuff, and I don't think that's what you use to unlock the simcard. Maybe it has something to do with the firmware? It's 05.16.05. If I have to update the firmware, or download something on my phone please tell me. I just want to use the phone.
- Unlocking iPhone on o2 problem? I want to leave o2 and therefore need to unlock my iphone to change the provider. In order to do this my phone must have £15 credit on it so that o2 can charge me to unlock the iPhone. My problem is that if i upload £10, my o2 tariff (pay and go go go - 1000 texts, 500mb etc) will take away the credit. How do I solve this?
- Should i update my iPhone 3gs to iOS6? The processes are already slow while i'm using iOS 5.1.1 Will the update destroy my 3gs? (making it incredibly slow to force me into buying a new phone, say a 4s or iPhone 5?) Thanks guys!
