Problem with restoring my phone to 6.1.3? (iPhone 4 CDMA)?

I have the 6.1.3 ipsw, and I did the restore plus shift and picked it out, and it is about to start, then it gives me "An unknown error occurred (3194)"

What firmware were you running prior to restoring? Downgrading will require you to save SHSH blobs from when you were previously running that firmware. If you were jailbroken before it can be a real pain too. You'll need to do some work with tiny umbrella.

Otherwise, this method may work:

- For Windows, navigate to C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/ and find the file that's named "hosts"
- For Mac, the file is in /etc/
- Open the file in Notepad (or any other text editing software) (for Windows users, open this with Administrator Privileges)
- You'll mostly have this line at the bottom of the file:
- 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
- Either comment this line out by typing a single '#' (without the quotes) in front of the line (before 74) or remove the line entirely.
- Now, save the hosts file and then try updating your iPhone through iTunes.
In most cases, the error shouldn't pop up now.

  • Where can I buy a CDMA phone (iPhone) in England? My iPhone was stolen in London, and since CDMA phones don't work in the UK, I was wondering if there was somewhere I could get one for fairly cheap (since all CDMA phones here are probably stolen). Any tips would be appreciated!
