Problems installing firmware?
I have an iPhone 4 running 4.0. I want to upgrade it to 5.1.1. But I keep getting error code 1601. I've used iREB already and still no luck. Any other suggestions on installing this firmware.
Reinstall itunes (must be the latest one but sometimes it comes corrupted). Otherwise you could try backing up your iPhone and resetting it, then updating it.

I can get it to restore via apple, but than I won't be able to jailbreak. How can i check firmware when disabled? I Can't GO INTO SETTINGS AND CHECK IT, i need some type of software that will tell me… All itunes tell me is that it is disabled and must be restored before it tells me anything.
