Problems with iPhone 4s and car bluetooth?

Just wondering if anyone has had problems pairing their iPhone 4s to their car's built-in bluetooth audio? I used the iphone 3G and there was never a problem- it connected automatically. Now that I have the 4s, i have to manually connect it everytime and it often takes a few minutes to connect -- so frustrating! Apple wants to blame Subaru (my car) and Subaru wants to blame the phone.

I got an idea, throw the phone out the window and buy something else and get a cd instead

I will blame the car, the Bluetooth profiles of your vehicle are old, the ones fromt he new iPhone 4s are diferent and more updated, this is the same case with the bmw, audi, toyota, chrysler,
Your new iPhone bluetooth is 4.0 and the bluetooth in your vehicle 2.1.
t is not Apple's responsibility to ensure that their device is backwards compatible with all older devices

  • What's the cheapest Car Headunit with Iphone streaming via bluetooth? I want to swap it out with the one in my 96' neon. It has to be able to support subs, and i would like the headunit to let the iphone control the music, not the the headunit control the music.
  • What is the best speaker for a car? And MP3/CD Deck for a car? Eventually when I get my main car, I want to get great speakers for my car. I know BestBuy sells most of the speakers for cars. But i'm wondering what good speakers for cars are. Not the brand but what the Best Features are for car speakers. I would also need to get a iPod/iPhone-Ready CD Deck, so I also need to know good brands and features for that.
  • Syncing IPhone 4S Bluetooth with 2006 Prius Bluetooth? I just purchased an IPhone 4S and it will not sync with the bluetooth on my 2006 Prius. I have been to my Toyota Dealer who sent me back to Verizon store who said reinstall software on phone, which I did No luck. Any suggestions?
  • Is it possible to pair a Bluetooth dongle with two Bluetooth devices at one time? I have two sofas with inbuilt Bluetooth and iPhone docks. It's possible to pair a phone to one sofa at a time and play music via Bluetooth. If I bought a Bluetooth dongle for my television, would it pair to just one sofa? Or is there a way to pair it to both without having wires running across the room?
