What is the best speaker for a car? And MP3/CD Deck for a car?
Eventually when I get my main car, I want to get great speakers for my car. I know BestBuy sells most of the speakers for cars. But i'm wondering what good speakers for cars are. Not the brand but what the Best Features are for car speakers. I would also need to get a iPod/iPhone-Ready CD Deck, so I also need to know good brands and features for that.
Check crutchfield.com. Anything Best Buy or Crutchfield sells is going to be top notch.
Get a Pioneer HU.
Get some RF speakers and tweeters.
There's no "special feature" you should be looking for on car speakers. Your clue is going to be the price tag. You get what you pay for in this industry. There's no secret speaker that nobody knows about which costs half but performs twice as good as any other. The best stuff Best Buy sells is going to be the Polk Dxi line, Alpine Type-S line, or Kicker's stuff. Sony, JVC, and Kenwood's speakers are junk. Go in and listen to them all. Buy whichever sounds best to you. If you can afford more than what they offer in-store, tell them. They have 5 times the inventory online and can order you higher-end versions of what you're listening to in-store.
A USB port is common on even inexpensive decks these days. Just plug your iPhone in via USB and it'll do everything else for you. Decide if you want Bluetooth or not. Bluetooth will allow you to make and receive calls handsfree and also allow you to stream music wireless (though the sound quality suffers compared to USB). Pioneer or Alpine.
- Would this stereo car deck allow me to play music from my iPhone 5 in high quality? I don't want to use CDs anymore and my current car deck doesn't have USB functionality. I want to play music without using the transmitters that usually have bad quality. Would this do the trick: http://m.futureshop.ca/defaultpage.aspx?lang=en#/catalog/productdetails.aspx?ajax=true&sku=10220448&lang=en-CA I'm open to other product suggestions as well. Willing to spend in the hundreds.
- Why does my Pioneer car deck skip? I have a DEH-X6500BT. When I use it for Pandora, it doesn't skip, but when I plug my iPhone into it (or use the bluetooth connectivity) it will start playing a song for a while (usually around a minute and thirty seconds), and then I hear a whoosh, the song gets muffled, and it skips to the next song. What's up with this?
- What's wrong with my pioneer AVH 8400 deck? I just recently got a cd-u201 cable and a lightning and 30 pin adapter to connect my iphone 5 to my deck. So I could play iPod music on it and when I plug it up to the deck it says error 02-67 which means "the iPod firmware is old" but my iPhone 5 firmware is 6.1.4 how can I fix this? And yes I know I can Bluetooth music but I don't want too
- What is the best car stereo deck to get that is iphone 4s compatible? I was thinking about getting DEH-P9400BH, but if there are anything better could you let me know? Are there any car cd players out there that not just play your iphone but charges it too?
