Problems with iPhone IOS6 update?
I checked my phone a few days ago and it said that I had to update my phone and I've got the iPhone 3gs, I updated my phone and now I can't get any sound out of headphones and so on, like literally any headphone that I plug into my phone it doesn't work at all. Imessage doesn't work either so I'm not too sure what to do, any suggestions on what the problem could be?
I tried to update my iPhone 4 but it didn't work. Now the sound is *** up and don't work unless my headphones are in or my phone rings. It won't even let me turn the speakers up
Did you do the update via Wi-Fi, or physically hooked up to your computer? I have the 3gs also, I always update via iTunes plugged in to the computer with a cord. My friend did the update unplugged and it took him over 2 hours. I did it plugged in, and it took about 20 minutes. Much more chance for data loss with Wi-Fi update. Try it plugged in.
It's probably impossible to downgrade your firmware now sorry, i updated my iphone 4s and everything is just fine with me. Maybe you should get a new phone, 3gs is almost outdated anyway
Plug your phone into Itunes, and restore it (make sure you do a backup first, so you don't lose any content) this will restore your iphone to the state you bought it in. Then disconnect, and reconnect it again, and install the ios 6. Everything on your phone, (text messages, mms, photos, etc) will be transferred back to your phone. You may need to select restore from backup under itunes from your pc, but my pc did it automatically. I had problems with my iphone 4s when trying to install the io6 too, (Pc malfunctioned or something) so it prompted me to do a restore. I restored my iphone, then simply reinstalled the ios 6 software. Everything was placed back on my phone as before the restore, and i lost nothing. Still works perfectly. You will lose the youtube from your iphone screen once the ios 6 is installed, as the contract between google and apple ended or something. However, the youtube app is free to download from the app store.
- Wi-Fi won't won't work on iPhone 4s after ios6 update I have tried resetting my network settings that didn't work then proceeded to reset all my settings but yet it still didn't work. When i tap on Wi-Fi it will not let me turn it on its all grey and blurred out. I have tried everything possible. Any suggestions or know how to fix this problem?
